Employability Readiness Through Accredited Self-Leadership
The Authentic Self-Leadership Programme is a Level 3 accredited programme designed to strengthen the confidence, motivation, emotional resilience and self-management skills that underpin readiness for work and progression.
This provision is aligned with the Government’s Get Britain Working agenda and is intended to complement employability, skills and wellbeing services by addressing non-skills barriers that can limit engagement and sustained progress.

The Employability Challenge
Many individuals who are technically able to work experience barriers such as low confidence, emotional overload, anxiety, lack of direction or difficulty sustaining motivation. These non-skills barriers can affect engagement with employability support and delay progression, even where opportunities are available.
Policy-Aligned Employability Impact
Impact Statement (Andrea Graham Training & Development | Authentic Self-Leadership Programme)
The Authentic Self-Leadership Programme is an accredited Level 3 personal development offer designed to strengthen the individual capabilities that underpin sustained engagement with employment, skills and progression pathways. It directly supports the aims of the Government’s Get Britain Working agenda by improving work-readiness, confidence, decision-making and self-management — particularly for people facing psychological, behavioural and motivation-related barriers that often sit beneath economic inactivity and delayed progression.
Across four modules, learners clarify values and direction, build a structured personal vision, identify barriers to achievement, and develop practical goal-setting and action planning skills. They also learn tools to manage negative thinking, stress and limiting beliefs, while strengthening emotional intelligence, communication, presentation and personal impact — capabilities that help participants access opportunities and sustain progress once in work.
The programme is well-suited to local and community delivery models alongside employment support and skills provision, because it provides clear learning outcomes and evidence of development through structured activities, worksheets, reflective learning logs and tutor observation. In policy terms, it acts as a capability bridge: enabling more people to take up support, follow through on plans, and move towards participation and progression in good work.
